**Position Summary**
We are seeking a Business Development \& General Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our business. This role combines sales leadership, customer relationship development, and operational management. The ideal candidate is a driven leader who can create new opportunities, build lasting partnerships, manage teams, and deliver profitable business results.
**Essential Duties \& Responsibilities**
· Drive business growth by leading with sales efforts, customer relationship management, and development of local business opportunities
· Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, expand market share, and increase customer acquisition within targeted markets.
· Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with key commercial and institutional customers, including HOAs, ISDs, hospitals, municipalities, corporate accounts, and other private/public organizations.
· Proactively engage with potential customers through networking, outreach, relationship building, and business development activities.
· Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, track opportunities, and achieve established revenue and growth goals.
· Oversee daily business operations, scheduling, dispatching, logistics, and service delivery activities to ensure operational efficiency and high\-quality customer service
· Lead and support field teams, supervisors, and operational staff to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within company standards
· Recruit, interview, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees to build a high\-performing team.
· Establish accountability, performance expectations, and professional development opportunities for team members.
· Report directly to company leadership and provide regular updates on business performance, sales activities, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.
· Serve as a key leadership resource in developing and executing company growth initiatives.
**Skills and Attributes**
· Demonstrates leadership, organizational, and team management skills
· Strong business acumen with experience managing operations, budgets, and performance metrics
· Ability to analyze operational data and make sound business decisions
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems
**Required Education and Experience**
· Associate degree or higher preferred
· Minimum 5\+ years of leadership or operational management experience, preferably within tree care, landscaping, lawn care, construction, or related service industries
· Strong understanding of arboriculture, plant health care, operational safety practices, and service delivery standards preferred
· ISA Certified Arborist certification strongly preferred
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
