What You'll Do
- As a Senior Data Lead, you will drive the design, development, transformation, and delivery of modern data solutions that enable enterprise-grade analytics and business transformation.
- You will serve as a hands-on player-coach, leading engineering teams while actively contributing to technical architecture, coding, and solution delivery.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Data Engineers, Data Developers, and Technical Analysts.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of data engineering, transformation, and analytics initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines.
- Write high-quality, production-ready code using Python and SQL.
- Build and optimize complex ETL/ELT frameworks to cleanse, standardize, enrich, validate, and transform large-scale datasets from multiple source systems.
- Lead development efforts using Azure Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Design scalable data models, transformation frameworks, and modern data processing architectures.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and manage code base repositories.
- Manage CI/CD operations, pull/merge request approvals, and platform landscape synchronization via GitHub or Azure DevOps.
- Plan and execute automated regression testing integrated within CI/CD pipelines.
- Allocate team workloads, track progress, and optimize resource utilization to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional business, product, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical decisions, architectures, project status, and risks to diverse technical teams and senior leadership.
- Prepare and deliver clear technical specifications, documentation, and presentations to guide decision-making.
What We Seek In You
- 8–10 years of overall experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical fields.
- Proven experience leading and managing teams of Data Engineers and Developers.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with a track record of writing, reviewing, and optimizing production-grade code.
- Data Transformation & ProcessingStrong expertise in data transformation, cleansing, enrichment, and validation.
- Advanced experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, Spark/PySpark, Azure Data Factory, or Apache Airflow.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with version control, change management, and CI/CD operations using GitHub or Azure DevOps.
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong work allocation, progress tracking, and resource management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable, technical data solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong player-coach mindset with the ability to balance high-level team leadership with hands-on technical execution.
- Experience presenting technical trade-offs, architecture decisions, and project roadmaps to C-suite and executive leadership.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environment operations across Azure, AWS, or GCP.Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality frameworks, and Enterprise Security standards.
- Experience in domains such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Supply Chain, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Enterprise Analytics.
