What we’re looking for

  • Around 3 years or more of professional full stack development experience .
  • Hands-on production experience with React, TypeScript , and Tailwind CSS. This is the core of the role .
  • Backend experience in Python, or the clear ability to pick it up quickly .
  • Respect for UI and UX ( user interface and user experience ) work . You do not need to be a designer , but you take design feedback seriously and you give the details the time they need .
  • The ability to own a feature end to end: the data model , the API, the interface, and the tests .
  • Comfort with Linux, Git , and a CI pipeline .
  • Strong written and spoken English. German is a plus.

The day-to-day

  • Build and maintain our ground control station : the operator view , the map , the live video , the controller integration , and the messages that tell an operator what the aircraft is doing .
  • Build internal tools for the engineering teams , from data views to small applications that remove manual work .
  • Work across the whole stack : a Python web backend, a typed API, and a modern web frontend, with most of your time on the frontend.
  • Turn design direction into polished interfaces , and bring your own ideas on what goes on the screen, what does not, and what has to be visible at a glance .
  • Work with the autonomy , perception , platform , and testing teams , who supply the data your interfaces show .
  • Take feedback from pilots and test engineers , and turn it into changes they notice .
  • Contribute to the customer-facing web applications as those begin .

You should apply if you

  • Have experience with Vite and with typed API clients generated from OpenAPI .
  • Have experience with FastAPI , Pydantic , or SQLAlchemy .
  • Bring experience with map-based or real-time interfaces : live telemetry , video streams , or anything where the screen must keep up with a moving system .
  • Can navigate building interfaces for operators , pilots , or control rooms , where a wrong click has a cost .

Nice to haves

  • Experience with interfaces that must work outdoors , offline, or on an unreliable network.
  • Experience with more than one language in a product interface.
  • Experience deploying web applications to a cloud platform .
  • An interest in drones , robotics , or defense technology .
