Join our winter operations team as a "Commercial Walkway Crew Lead" where you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, accessible and well-maintained walkways for commercial properties during the winter season. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate a team of workers responsible for snow clearing, ice control and walkway maintenance at commercial sites.
- Lead daily safety meetings and ensure all crew members follow safety protocols related to winter operations.
- Oversee the use of equipment such as snow plows, shovels, salt spreaders, and other landscape maintenance tools to efficiently complete tasks.
- Monitor weather conditions to respond promptly to changing winter weather patterns.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure walkways are clear, safe, and compliant with company and general safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with office staff to address any site-specific concerns or hazards.
- Maintain records of completed work, equipment usage, safety incidents and crew hours for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or related outdoor operations roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in fast-paced winter conditions.
- Knowledge of landscaping and gardening practices, lawn mowing, or outdoor carpentry is valuable to ensure year round employment.
- Experience operating or maintaining equipment such as snow plows or salt spreaders is preferred.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to outdoor winter work environments.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
