Our creative division, Breakthrough, is responsible for end-to-end web contract design, interface architecture, and digital product management. We partner with clients to deliver complete, high-impact digital experiences, bespoke web platforms, and refined design systems.
To support our growing pipeline of web design contracts, we are hiring two UI/UX & Web Designers to join our internal team.
The Role
Working directly under our internal design leadership at Breakthrough, you will be responsible for translating complex project requirements into clean, user-centric interfaces and responsive web layouts.
This is a creative and strategic design role focused on interface composition, user journeys, interaction design, and visual asset production across our portfolio of web contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual & Interface Design: Create high-fidelity web page designs, dashboard layouts, and interactive components aligned with modern web standards, brand aesthetics, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- UX Architecture & Prototyping: Build user journeys, task flows, wireframes, and clickable interactive prototypes using modern tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Design Systems: Develop, maintain, and document scalable component libraries and UI pattern kits to ensure visual consistency across multiple web contracts.
- Multimedia & Digital Assets: Produce custom vector graphics, icons, visual identity assets, and micro-interactions for digital web applications.
- Technical Handoff: Prepare detailed design token specifications and developer handoffs, collaborating with internal front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation.
- Client Briefings & Reviews: Participate in stakeholder creative sessions, present interactive design walkthroughs, and refine designs based on project requirements.
Requirements & Experience
- Portfolio (Essential): A digital portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI/UX case studies, responsive web layouts, wireframes, and design system components.
- Design Software: Expert proficiency in Figma; solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Design Fundamentals: Clear command of layout grids, responsive design frameworks, typography, colour theory, and information hierarchy.
- Technical Understanding: Solid grasp of web capabilities and constraints (HTML/CSS layouts, responsive breakpoints). Hands-on coding is not required, but technical feasibility awareness is critical.
- Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions, run structured handoffs, and manage feedback effectively.
- Education / Background: Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent demonstrable commercial experience.
Pay: £33,400.00-£42,000.00 per year
