Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Engineer at Principal / Staff engineer level with strong hands-on expertise in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications. This is an Individual Contributor role for engineers who enjoy coding, solving complex technical problems, and contributing to application design and architecture.
This is a backend-focused Individual Contributor role requiring deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka, along with working experience in modern frontend technologies such as Angular or React.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance microservices and event-driven applications using Kafka.
- Develop secure, scalable REST APIs and backend services.
- Contribute hands-on to coding, debugging, code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
- Develop and integrate modern frontend applications using Angular or React.
- Participate in application design and architecture discussions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Drive engineering best practices around code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and secure development.
Required Skills
- 9–16 years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Experience with Angular or React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Distributed Systems.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and application performance optimization skills.
