Role Overview:

Start your career as part of the People Experience team, with exposure across recruitment, Injury Management & WHS as well as Industrial Relations/Employee Relations & Organisational Development.

This role provides administrative and coordination support across key people functions, including employee lifecycle activities, learning and development, workforce administration, compliance, and people initiatives.

As the new People Experience Graduate you will be provided the opportunity to gain direct exposure to a broad range of human resource disciplines while contributing to operational and proactive people activities. The role also serves as a back-up to Reception and supports front-of-house administration to ensure a positive experience for employees, clients, visitors, and stakeholders.

What You’ll do:

  • Provide administrative support across People Experience, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Learning & Development and WHS functions.
  • Assist with onboarding, employee documentation and workforce administration.
  • Support the maintenance of employee records and HR systems.
  • Assist with preparing reports, correspondence, presentations and HR communications.
  • Support people programs and initiatives, including employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and people-related initiatives.
  • Provide back-up support to reception by:
  • Providing prompt, courteous attention to telephone callers, visitors and clients.
  • Providing appropriate responses and information to clients, service providers and members of the public as required.
  • Providing an interface with, and support to consumers, staff and contractors.
  • Collaborating and cooperating with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Monitor logbook and issue visitor badges.
  • Assist with and refer enquiries to appropriate personnel as required.
  • Complete allocated tasks with accuracy, in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.

What you Bring:

  • Previous administrative, customer service, hospitality, retail, or reception experience desirable.
  • Experience working in a professional environment is advantageous but not essential Previous systems experience and/or the ability and motivation to learn and adapt to a variety of systems.
  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and people-related practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Personable phone etiquette, with understanding for clients concerns and questions.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a positive and co-operative manner.
  • Ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
  • Ability to draft simple correspondence of a non-specialist nature.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
