An Operations Manager – in a shopping mall is responsible for ensuring the mall is clean, safe, and provides a high-quality experience for visitors, tenants, and staff. The role typically includes:
- Managing housekeeping, washrooms, pantry, landscaping, pest control, and waste management.
- Supervising housekeeping staff and outsourced service providers.
- Conducting daily inspections of common areas, food courts, parking areas, and restrooms.
- Ensuring vendors meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
- Handling customer complaints related to cleanliness and facilities.
- Coordinating with security, engineering, and tenant teams for smooth operations.
- Managing budgets, consumables, manpower, and vendor invoices.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and statutory requirements.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (MIS).
