Job Summary
Mandate:
This position combines a long-term, process-driven operational perspective with a short-term, deliverables-focused project approach to ensure the smooth functioning of the marcom team.
The Associate Director, Marketing Operations provides direct supervision to marcom team members across martech, campaigns, and digital marketing. This role ensures operational effectiveness by overseeing vendors, contractors, tools, and related processes (e.g., purchasing, privacy, and vendor relationships).
Objectives:
- Act as project liaison and first point of contact for collaborations with internal and campus partners (in consultation with Director on strategy and priorities).
- Ensure unified workflows across marcom team, through effective use and continuous improvement of tools and process.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of full-funnel, integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. Job Requirements This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising or relevant discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing briefing notes, reports, and materials for senior executives.
- Ability to identify and analyze issues, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate, build, and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Sound judgment and ability to respond effectively in high-pressure or sensitive situations, including reputational or communications-related issues.
- Knowledge of current communications, marketing, and labour market trends, with the ability to apply insights to improve practice.
