**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Design Lead to oversee and drive the user experience and interface design of our digital products. The successful candidate will lead a team of designers, collaborate closely with product managers and developers, and ensure the delivery of intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in front\-end development principles, user research, and a comprehensive understanding of design patterns and usability standards. The UX/UI Design Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our products, ensuring they meet business requirements and user needs.

**Duties**

* Lead the design process from concept to completion, including wireframing, prototyping, and high\-fidelity visual design using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and InVision. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into compelling user experiences. * Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions; utilise data analysis skills and tools like Google Analytics to evaluate user behaviour. * Develop information architecture strategies and interaction designs that optimise user engagement across multiple platforms including responsive web environments. * Oversee the creation of visual assets, including graphics, icons, and animations using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools; ensure consistency in branding and style across all digital touchpoints. * Implement best practices in front\-end development by working closely with developers skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React, and utilise APIs for seamless integration. * Establish design standards and patterns to ensure consistency; facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders using tools like Visio or Balsamiq. * Manage the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process within the design team to ensure timely delivery of projects aligned with business goals. * Mentor junior designers on UX principles, digital design techniques, and emerging trends; promote a culture of innovation within the team. * Stay abreast of industry trends in UX/UI design, web development technologies such as Bootstrap or SCSS, and emerging tools like Zeplin or UnrEal Engine for immersive experiences.

**Skills**

* Proven expertise in UX/UI design with extensive experience in wireframing, prototyping, data visualisation, and interaction design. * Strong knowledge of front\-end development languages including HTML, CSS (and pre\-processors like Less or SCSS), JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React. * Proficiency with design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, InVision, Axure, Balsamiq, Zeplin. * Experience in conducting user research, usability testing (including User Acceptance Testing), requirements gathering, and analysis skills. * Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Omniture for data\-driven decision making. * Knowledge of responsive web design principles ensuring optimal performance across devices. * Understanding of APIs integration as well as cloud services like AWS for scalable deployment solutions. * Ability to develop information architecture that enhances user flow; experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is advantageous. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead projects through all phases of SDLC while managing multiple priorities effectively. * Excellent communication skills to articulate concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels; leadership qualities to guide a team towards innovative solutions.

Pay: £28,000\.00\-£75,000\.00 per year
