Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Supervise and support a team of Manufacturing employees, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with different departments, manage communication lines with managers.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards through regular inspections, audits, and staff training on quality procedures.
  • Support assembly operations by coordinating tasks across teams, troubleshooting mechanical issues with mechanical knowledge, and optimizing equipment usage.
  • Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety meetings.
  • Able and willing to occasionally adjust shift to provide supervision on dayshift and nightshift when needed

Skills

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the daily plant operations to continuously improve product, process flow and output by optimizing human and physical resources
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of quality control procedures and standards within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments including assembly, logistics, and management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems integration for seamless production planning and inventory management.

Qualifications and Employment requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience working in a high volume, nutraceutical industry, food production and ready to eat foods facility or equivalent experience in the related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing and food standards.
  • Fluent in written and oral English, knowledge of Chinese languages would be an asset.
  • Ability to hire, train and motivate employees to continue to develop and contribute to the success of the company
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively with all employees and contractors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
