About VayKLife

Vacations are supposed to be fun. At VayKLife, we are radically committed—and genuinely energized—about helping make every guest's vacation as easy, memorable, and joyful as possible. Our mission is to put and keep smiles on guests' faces by making sure the beach gear they count on—bikes, chairs, umbrellas, and more—is clean, safe, fun to use, delivered on time, and ready to go the moment their vacation begins.

Our field teams are the front line of that mission. Every delivery completed, truck loaded, and service issue resolved is an opportunity to create a better vacation. We are seeking dynamic operations leaders who share that energy, take pride in getting details right, and can inspire high-performing teams across multiple markets.Position Overview

The Regional Operations Manager is a senior field-leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple operating territories and their respective Territory Managers. This role bridges corporate strategy and local field execution, ensuring corporate priorities, resource allocations, and operational SOPs are seamlessly executed across all regional locations. The current open positions are for coastal North Carolina and Coastal South Carolina territories.

The ideal candidate strikes a deliberate balance: guiding, coaching, and holding Territory Managers accountable without taking over their daily responsibilities or becoming a temporary fix for staffing gaps. Through analytical performance monitoring, cross-territory resource mobility, and systematic readiness planning, the Regional Manager builds resilient teams and scalable processes that drive measurable business growth.Key Responsibilities

Multi-Territory Leadership & Team Development

===================================================

  • Lead, coach, and hold multiple Territory Managers accountable for operational performance, safety, SOP compliance, and team development.
  • Mentor local leaders to manage their territories independently, resisting the urge to take over daily tasks while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Establish leadership coverage frameworks across territories for 7-day seasonal operations, developing high-potential Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Dispatchers.
  • Cultivate an accountable, professional work environment centered on safety, service quality, and team proficiency.

Strategic Alignment & Operational Execution

================================================

  • Translate centralized business forecasts, purchasing plans, inventory deployments, and company-wide strategy into synchronized regional action.
  • Oversee comprehensive seasonal transition plans—working backward from peak demand to manage spring break preparation, summer ramp-up, holiday coverage, gear recovery, and winter refurbishment.
  • Ensure regional labor allocations and daily operational routines align strictly with approved operating plans and corporate priorities.

Resource Mobility & Fleet Alignment

========================================

  • Dynamically align and move shared resources—including labor, vehicles, trailers, gear, and maintenance supplies—across territories to address seasonal spikes or operational gaps.
  • Proactively identify emerging capacity, facility, management, or equipment constraints early, establishing practical options to resolve issues before service disruptions occur.
  • Maintain disciplined oversight of regional assets, facilities, equipment, and vehicle fleets to ensure continuous deployment readiness and safety compliance.

Performance Benchmarking & Systemic Improvement

====================================================

  • Compare operational performance metrics across assigned territories to identify variance, root causes, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Formulate, implement, and track standardized corrective action plans that yield measurable, sustainable operational improvements.
  • Enforce non-negotiable standards around gear quality inspection, warehouse staging, vehicle safety, inventory accuracy, and timekeeping controls.

Senior Leadership Reporting & Governance

=============================================

  • Provide executive leadership with regular, transparent evaluations of regional readiness, operational risks, performance trends, and required strategic decisions.
  • Manage regional labor efficiency metrics, equipment utilization rates, and operational budgets to achieve targeted cost discipline.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive operations or logistics management experience, with proven success leading multi-site or multi-territorial operations. Experience in field logistics, seasonal hospitality, rental operations, or asset-intensive environments strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Depth: Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and hold subordinate managers accountable across separate geographic locations.
  • Operational Acumen: Strong expertise in labor scheduling, fleet/warehouse management, inventory controls, safety protocols, and operational metric analysis.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Proven capability to handle competing priorities, execute strategic plans, and communicate clearly with executive leadership and field teams alike.
  • Physical & Logistics Readiness: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; comfortable working regularly in warehouse environments, around fleet trucks/trailers, and alongside field teams in varying seasonal weather conditions.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or a related field preferred; equivalent high-level operational leadership experience will be fully considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total Compensation: (Base Salary + Performance Bonus), commensurate with experience, scope, and territory location.
  • Benefits Package: Access to comprehensive medical and dental insurance plans.
  • Time Off: Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) policy subject to seasonal business demands.
  • Retirement & Growth: Matching 401(k) retirement plan and structured professional development opportunities.
