Team Management
- Lead and manage the Basic Structure team to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Build technical capability within the team through structured training and mentoring.
- Act as the technical lead on structural design projects, ensuring adherence to organizational and project-specific quality standards.
- Coordinate with central technical functions to define workload priorities and allocate tasks effectively within the team.
- Supervise and guide graduate/junior structural engineers in both project and professional development.
- Monitoring project baselines and maintain good productivity for the department
- Maintaining a good utilization for team and software.
Technical Responsibilities
- Develop structural design concepts and arrangements for newbuild and retrofit projects.
- Conduct structural calculations including global and local strength, buckling, and FE analysis as required.
- Prepare and review classification and statutory drawings such as structural general arrangements, scantlings, foundation details, and support structures.
- Ensure compliance with classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR) and international regulations.
- Support Business Development (BD) team by providing structural input for technical proposals and feasibility studies.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines, clients, vendors, and classification societies to integrate and validate structural solutions.
Qualification:
BE / BTech / MTech in Mechanical or Naval Architecture from reputed institute
