Job Summary
We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst with strong analytical skills and a good understanding of financial markets, company fundamentals, and equity research.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed research on companies and industries, analyzing financial statements, preparing financial models and research reports, and tracking developments across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth equity research on companies, sectors, industries, and macroeconomic trends.
- Track and analyze companies listed on international markets, including ASX, TSX, NYSE, and NASDAQ.
- Analyze financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow to evaluate company performance.
- Conduct fundamental analysis and comparative analysis of companies across different sectors.
- Monitor daily developments, corporate announcements, industry trends, technological developments, and economic factors that may impact companies and markets.
- Prepare and update financial models, company reports, and equity research reports.
- Contribute to end-to-end equity research, including company analysis, financial modelling, report preparation, and regular updates.
- Use research tools and databases such as Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv, company filings, annual reports, and other relevant sources.
- Perform quality checks on research reports, financial models, and other deliverables.
- Assist in training new team members and contribute to the development of the team's knowledge repository.
- Communicate research findings and insights effectively with clients and industry professionals.
- Stay updated on global financial markets, economic developments, and sector-specific trends.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of equity markets and financial analysis.
- Good knowledge of financial statements and financial modelling.
- Understanding of fundamental equity research methodologies.
- Knowledge of international stock markets such as ASX, TSX, NYSE, and NASDAQ.
- Experience in researching and tracking companies across different sectors is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a work-from-home environment.
- Candidates with sell-side equity research experience will be preferred.
