Title: Senior Paralegal, Contracts & Regulatory (Office of the President)
Lion Health System operates three behavioral health hospitals. This role owns the document and matter workflow in the President's Office: contracts, regulatory filings, payer and vendor correspondence, and coordination with outside counsel and regulators. The President edits; this person drafts, tracks, and closes.
What you will own
- First drafts and redlines of contracts, amendments, BAAs, payer and vendor correspondence, and regulatory submissions
- Contract lifecycle: intake, version control, execution, renewal tracking
- Regulatory and licensure filings (CMS 855A, change of ownership, state licensure renewals, accreditation submissions), prepared for executive review
- A live matter tracker across outside counsel, lobbyists, regulators, and payer disputes, with status and next action for each
- Follow-up with vendors, payers, and counsel so open items do not stall
Must have
- 5+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant in healthcare (hospital, health system, or health law practice)
- Strong drafting; candidates will complete a timed writing exercise
- Daily use of AI drafting tools; we expect it and will train on our workflow
- Organized under volume: able to carry 30+ open matters without dropping any
- Discretion with confidential and PHI-adjacent material
This is NOT an executive assistant or scheduling role; calendar and inbox are handled separately. Not an attorney role; outside counsel provides legal opinions.
Schedule: (9AM-5PM) Primary on-site in Lakewood, NJ, some hybrid hours as well.
