About the Role
Vikas Book Distributor is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to oversee our daily financial transactions, maintain accurate accounts, and ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Tally, MARG, GST filing, inventory accounting, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain daily bookkeeping, accounting entries, and general ledger maintenance. Process vendor payments, track customer receivables, and perform timely billing and invoicing. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account statement reconciliations with suppliers and clients. Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and manage basic TDS calculations. Manage stock/inventory accounting and conduct periodic inventory audits. Assist with month-end financial closure and prepare basic financial reports for management.
Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience (distributor, wholesale, or publishing industry preferred).
Software Skills: Proficiency in Tally , MARG and MS Excel, MS WORD, Use AI tools. Taxation Knowledge: Practical knowledge of GST filing, e-way bills, and local taxation rules. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
