Clinician Engagement Manager

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (In-person)

Type: Full-Time

Who We Are

Virtual Hallway is rebuilding how clinicians get the knowledge they need for the patient in front of them. When something falls outside a clinician's day-to-day depth, a diagnosis they rarely see, a guideline nuance, a question only a specialist would know, we get them the right answer fast, instead of a referral and a wait. That idea runs through everything we build: a peer consult network connecting clinicians with specialist colleagues, the largest accredited medical education library in Canada, and Asklepius, our AI-powered clinical reference tool that puts specialist-grade knowledge in a clinician's hands the moment they need it. More than 10,000 clinicians across Canada already work with us.

It's one bet, applied a few different ways: Canada doesn't have a doctor shortage, it has a knowledge access shortage. Health systems have taken notice, but what motivates us most is hearing it straight from clinicians: the thank-you after a consult, the survey comment, the specialist who tells us it changed how they practice. That kind of feedback is hard to earn, and it's the reason we do this.

Our ethos is Medicine Together. Clinicians helping clinicians. Technology in service of care, not the other way around. We've been building the platform and the community around it since day one, and we're not done. We're adding a Clinician Engagement Manager to keep up with the demand and the opportunity in front of us.

The Role

As Clinician Engagement Manager, you'll drive the operational heartbeat of Virtual Hallway's clinician ecosystem: recruiting, onboarding, and activating clinicians across Canada so they feel supported, confident, and motivated to use our platform to collaborate and deliver better patient care.

This role blends community engagement, activation, growth outreach, and data analysis. You'll thrive here if you're hyper-organized, relationship-driven, curious, and excited to build real relationships with clinicians nationwide.

This is an in-office role by design. You'll be working daily alongside a highly motivated team in the same room: our software engineers, our marketing and commercial colleagues, operations, leadership, and physicians. It rewards autonomy, adaptability, and strong communication skills, especially in writing effective emails and clinician outreach.

Key Responsibilities

Identify & Recruit Clinicians

  • Identify and recruit clinicians across Canada (family and specialist physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists) to maintain a balanced and healthy ecosystem.
  • Execute outreach through cold calls, targeted emails, and follow-ups to drive clinician onboarding.

Onboard & Activate

  • Lead onboarding experiences (1:1 and group) that support activation and feature adoption.
  • Support onboarding sessions, demos, webinars, and support ticket handling.
  • Create activation nudges (emails, guides, workflows) that drive first and repeat consults.

Drive Engagement & Adoption

  • Support new provincial rollouts, feature launches, and clinician activation campaigns.
  • Conduct meaningful touchpoints including 1:1 check-ins, clinic visits, and coordinated outreach to ensure clinicians feel supported and engaged.

Own the Feedback Loop

  • Gather clinician feedback through 1:1 conversations and coordinated surveys.
  • Monitor platform activity to identify trends, friction points, and growth opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to turn insights into initiatives, engagement tactics, and evaluate their impact.

Track Ecosystem Health & Key Metrics

  • Track key metrics related to activation, MAUs, retention, and consult volume.
  • Monitor supply-demand balance across specialties and provinces to maintain a healthy clinician ecosystem.
  • Prepare simple dashboards and data pulls that inform strategy and decision-making.

Represent Virtual Hallway in the Community

  • Attend conferences, events, and Welcome Collaborative sessions (occasional travel required).

Who We're Looking For

We're searching for a hyper-organized, relationship-driven, and data-minded individual who excels at building community: acquisition, onboarding, and retention.

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

  • Community-minded: you enjoy building relationships and making people feel supported and valued.
  • A strong communicator: you can write effective outreach emails and lead engaging onboarding sessions.
  • Operationally excellent: you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Analytical: you're comfortable interpreting metrics and turning insights into action.
  • Proactive and growth-minded: you take initiative, follow through, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-savvy and outbound-ready: you pick up new tools fast, and you're just as comfortable on the phone, in an inbox, or at a clinic door getting a clinician signed on.
  • A fighter for clinicians: you take it personally that everything we build is in service of doctors, not the other way around.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Post-secondary degree in communications, business, health sciences, epidemiology, informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Analytical ability: comfortable interpreting metrics and turning insights into action.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a growth-oriented, sales-adjacent, or customer-facing environment involving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention is an asset.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • A clinical background or direct experience working alongside clinicians, paired with familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot and data analysis tools.
  • Comfort presenting in webinars or clinician meetings.

What We Value

  • Collaboration: Work well with others in a high-performing team.
  • Curiosity: Explore new ideas, question the status quo, and constantly learn by doing.
  • Creativity: Bring fresh perspectives to challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive: Stay motivated to build something extraordinary.

Why Join Virtual Hallway?

  • A Company on the Move: We’re building the AI layer for Canadian medicine with Asklepius. This is a team building something bigger than any one product.
  • Impactful Mission: Help shape a national clinician community that strengthens patient care across the country.
  • Collaborative Team: Work with supportive, driven colleagues who embrace innovation.
  • Employee Benefits: Competitive salary, health benefits, paid time off, and sick days.
