Rockstar is seeking a highly accurate and proactive Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist to support a growing physical therapy practice operating across multiple U.S. states. This is a full-time remote role, ideal for a detail-oriented virtual assistant with experience in healthcare admin, insurance workflows, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits across a variety of payers and plans

Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by insurance
-
Accurately update patient insurance records within the EMR (WebPT)
-
Communicate effectively with patients and internal teams to clarify insurance requirements
-
Proactively follow up on pending verifications or authorization requests
-
Flag and report issues that may affect patient scheduling or treatment approval

Support insurance documentation and maintain organized digital records

Collaborate via Microsoft Teams with onsite and remote administrative staff

Requirements

Experience with insurance verification and prior authorization (physical therapy or outpatient healthcare preferred)

Proficient in navigating payer websites, portals, and verification tools

Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Comfortable working independently with accuracy and accountability
