Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Python/Django, Java/Spring Boot and AWS.
The role will be responsible for owning the technical vision and architecture of assigned products or technology streams, while remaining actively involved in development, technical decision-making, engineering governance and team mentoring.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across Python/Django and Java/Spring Boot, designing scalable backend systems and microservices, driving cloud architecture on AWS, and serving as a technical escalation point for production issues.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the end-to-end technical vision and architecture for assigned products or technology streams.
- Drive technical and design decisions from ideation through production.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on system design, API contracts, data modelling and service boundaries.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, testing standards and documentation.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies, frameworks and tools that improve delivery, reliability and maintainability.
- Drive technical threat modelling and ensure performance, scalability and security requirements are incorporated into system designs.
Python & Django
- Lead the development of backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs and data-processing pipelines using Python and Django.
- Establish coding standards and conduct code/PR reviews.
- Guide the team on Django ORM optimisation, Django REST Framework serializer design, Celery task management and secure authentication/session patterns.
- Oversee database migration strategies and ensure reliable, zero-downtime schema deployments.
Java & Spring Boot
- Architect and develop microservices and enterprise integrations using Java and Spring Boot.
- Apply best practices across Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud and Actuator.
- Design inter-service communication using REST, gRPC and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Define and maintain service-level contracts.
- Guide engineers on Java concurrency, JVM tuning and performance profiling.
AWS & Cloud Infrastructure
- Define and oversee cloud infrastructure strategies for application workloads on AWS.
- Govern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation across environments.
- Work with technologies such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Ensure cloud architectures are secure, resilient, scalable and cost-optimised.
- Act as a technical escalation point for production incidents and lead root-cause analysis and postmortems.
Team & Delivery Leadership
- Manage day-to-day technical delivery and sprint commitments.
- Identify and proactively communicate technical and delivery risks.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through 1:1s, code reviews and pairing sessions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX, QA and DevOps teams on roadmaps, effort estimation and prioritisation.

- Excellent communication, collaboration and mentoring skills.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per year
