Mechanical / Piping Engineer (Direct Hire)

Salary : $90,000 – $120,000 Base + Performance Bonus (based on experience)
We are seeking a Mechanical / Piping Engineer to join our engineering team supporting the design and delivery of Hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure Modules.
This role is responsible for the mechanical and piping scope throughout design, manufacturing, construction, testing, installation, and commissioning.
We are open to candidates with 3–15 years of experience, with preference given to senior engineers (5+ years) who have strong mechanical design expertise.
Data Center experience is highly preferred; however, comparable experience in similar industrial facilities (EPC, modular plants, process facilities, power, oil & gas, etc.) will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities* Design, review, and approve mechanical and piping engineering drawings and documentation.* Perform mechanical and piping engineering calculations including piping stress and flexibility analysis.* Prepare engineering deliverables including:* Equipment Lists* Valve Lists* Line Lists* Material Take-Offs (MTO)* Bills of Materials (BOM)* Technical Requisitions (TR)* Equipment Data Sheets* Review vendor quotations and support procurement activities.* Support manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.* Perform piping stress analysis using industry-standard software.* Provide piping loads and interface information to structural engineering teams.* Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, customer specifications, and industry standards.* Participate in design reviews, client meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.* Support RFIs, as-built reviews, and engineering change management.* Identify innovative engineering solutions that improve quality, cost, and project schedules.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial, Mechatronics, or related disciplines may be considered with relevant experience).
* 3–15 years of Mechanical/Piping Engineering experience.
Strong experience in:* Mechanical Equipment Design* Piping System Design* Piping Stress Analysis* EPC Engineering* Modular Engineering Projects* Experience producing engineering calculations, drawings, and design documentation.* Strong understanding of mechanical equipment including pumps, vessels, valves, cooling systems, chillers, cooling towers, and fire suppression systems.* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications* Data Center infrastructure experience.* Professional Engineer (PE) License.* Experience with modular construction projects.* Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and field engineering.* Familiarity with permitting and regulatory compliance.
