Position Summary...

The Associate Graphic Designer supports the development of original, commercially relevant graphic artwork for apparel across Kids and Adult categories. Working within the Apparel Product Development team, this role creates seasonal graphics, prints and graphic components that align to customer needs, brand direction, trend research and product-development timelines. The role collaborates with a broad range of cross-functional partners to deliver creative, production-ready artwork that meets quality, cost and supplier requirements.

What you'll do...

The Associate Graphic Designer manages the development and ongoing maintenance of digital content catalogues and stock libraries. This role partners with key stakeholders across the organization to design visual content that aids in communication and storytelling. The position may also involve collaborating with video production teams to create supporting assets.

The Associate Graphic Designer supports the creation of seasonal graphics for various product categories, including apparel and home. This involves building graphic components that meet production limitations and standards, as well as creating illustrations and graphics in various styles appropriate for different customer segments using tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Effective time management and organizational skills are essential, as the role requires juggling multiple projects across divisions and meeting tight deadlines. The designer must handle constructive criticism from multiple stakeholders and adjust artwork and style as needed. The position may also require managing third-party design resources and ensuring consistency in style guides and brand standards.

The Associate Graphic Designer identifies opportunities for innovation within branding standards and works to improve both associate and customer experiences related to storytelling and tone. This role formats and prepares seasonal palettes for technical use and coordinates with various teams to achieve development goals and maintain permanent files.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Experience creating original graphics for apparel, fashion or a consumer-product environment is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a strong understanding of file setup and artwork preparation for apparel production.
  • Strong skills in illustration, typography, print and pattern development, with the ability to create graphics for varied customer segments and product categories.
  • Knowledge of apparel graphic production requirements, including supplier-ready artwork, colour callouts, placement, scale and production limitations.
  • Strong awareness of fashion, graphic, print and cultural trends, with the ability to translate trend direction into commercially relevant product graphics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while collaborating effectively with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Sourcing and other cross-functional partners.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating original graphic design work, creative versatility and an understanding of apparel graphics.

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $101,750.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
