The Senior Manager, RCM – Billing Strategy & Process Excellence is a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping and driving strategic initiatives that strengthen Walmart Connect’s end-to-end billing and revenue operations.
The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team integrates business, finance, products and technology to oversee the complete order-to-cash process for Walmart Connect. Focused on safeguarding revenue and financial integrity, the team enhances billing accuracy, accelerates cash flow, and streamlines workflows through data-driven solutions and automation. In this role, the Senior Manager will lead complex, high-impact programs, influence Product and Engineering roadmaps, and establish scalable processes and governance to improve financial integrity, operational efficiency, customer experience, and scalability. Success requires strong operational and financial acumen, strategic program leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence decisions across teams without direct authority.
This is an individual contributor role with broad organizational influence and no direct people-management requirement.
What you'll do...
Billing Strategy, Transformation & Execution
- Lead and oversee complex billing and revenue initiatives across the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through implementation, launch, and post-launch stabilization.
- Evaluate processes, products, and systems to identify systemic gaps, control weaknesses, revenue risks, customer pain points, and opportunities for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Translate business and operational challenges into end-to-end billing requirements and scalable product, process, and technology solutions.
- Serve as a senior RCM advisor for new advertising products, business models, partnerships, and platform capabilities, ensuring billing, controls, reconciliation and downstream financial requirements are incorporated early in solution design.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to influence solution designs and roadmap priorities based on revenue risk, customer impact, operational efficiency, scalability, and business value.
- Anticipate billing, financial, operational and advertiser experience risks before launch; identify gaps through comprehensive UAT plan and readiness reviews; drive mitigation plans to closure before capabilities transition into production.
- Establish billing readiness requirements and oversee execution to ensure successful product launches, smooth transition into operations, and stable ongoing billing.
- Lead root-cause analysis of recurring billing and revenue issues and drive sustainable solutions rather than short-term remediation.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Establish scalable processes, controls, success metrics, and governance to support sustainable revenue operations.
- Provide leadership with visibility into key risks, dependencies, business impact, trade-offs, and decisions required.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Governance
- Establish strong partnerships across Business, Product, Engineering, Account Strategy, Sales, Data, and Operations to ensure billing initiatives are designed and executed end to end.
- Serve as the central RCM partner connecting upstream business and product decisions with downstream billing, invoicing, reconciliation, financial reporting, and operational requirements.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align requirements, resolve gaps, manage dependencies, establish ownership, and drive timely decisions.
- Partner with Finance and Controllership to ensure billing models and solutions support accurate financial reporting, revenue recognition, and appropriate financial controls.
- Establish clear governance, RACIs, escalation paths, and accountability across critical billing and revenue workflows.
- Drive alignment throughout the initiative lifecycle to ensure solutions are operationally scalable and deliver the intended business and financial outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Program Management, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, Program Management, Process Transformation, or related disciplines.
