About RiverReach Digital

RiverReach Digital is a Colorado Springs-based digital studio building and maintaining web properties, campaigns, and content programs for business clients. This role sits on the delivery side of the studio: turning designs and content requirements into fast, maintainable websites and web applications, and keeping them running after launch.

The Role

This is a hands-on development position building client-facing web work from design files through launch. Day to day, you'll implement responsive pages and components, integrate frontends with APIs and content platforms, and handle the fixes and improvements that come with live sites like performance issues, browser quirks, content-model changes. You'll work directly with designers and project leads, and you'll own the technical quality of what you ship: clean markup, sensible structure, and code the next developer can pick up.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build responsive, accessible websites and web applications from designs and specifications including semantic HTML, modern CSS, and JavaScript to production standards
  • Implement and extend components in React or comparable frameworks where client projects call for it
  • Integrate frontends with REST APIs and headless CMS platforms, including content modeling and preview workflows
  • Optimize page performance: asset loading, image handling, Core Web Vitals, and rendering behavior across browsers and devices
  • Diagnose and resolve defects across the stack of a typical web property like template, script, API call, or server configuration as the project requires
  • Collaborate with designers on feasibility, interaction detail, and responsive behavior; flag constraints early rather than at review
  • Manage deployment of assigned projects through the studio's pipeline, including pre-launch checks and post-launch verification
  • Maintain and modernize existing client sites: dependency updates, security patches, and refactoring where warranted
  • Write handoff documentation and internal notes sufficient for teammates to maintain delivered work
  • Support clients through post-launch requests within agreed service standards

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional web development experience delivering production sites or applications
  • Strong HTML and CSS fundamentals, including responsive layout (flexbox, grid), cross-browser behavior, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA awareness)
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript in browser environments
  • Hands-on experience with at least one component-based frontend framework (React, Vue, or Svelte)
  • Demonstrable API integration experience, including authentication and error handling in the browser
  • Familiarity with at least one headless or templated CMS environment (WordPress, Contentful, Sanity, or comparable)
  • Git-based workflows in a team setting, including pull requests and review
  • Ability to work on-site or hybrid in Colorado Springs per studio needs
  • Clear written communication with designers, project leads, and occasionally clients directly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an agency or studio environment with multiple concurrent client projects
  • Next.js or comparable meta-framework exposure
  • Performance tooling literacy (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, browser performance panels)
  • Understanding of SEO implementation fundamentals: metadata, structured data, redirects, and crawlability
  • UI animation or interaction implementation skills (CSS animations, Framer Motion, or GSAP)
  • Familiarity with analytics and tag-management deployments
  • Working Spanish-English bilingual ability is welcomed but not required

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range of $80,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and company-observed holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Professional development allowance
