Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer – AWS to manage and automate cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The candidate should have a strong understanding of AWS networking, security, monitoring, disaster recovery, and microservices environments, along with experience supporting reliable and scalable production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Manage and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployments.
- Manage AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPC, Route 53, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, and IAM.
- Implement and maintain cloud security, access controls, and IAM policies.
- Support microservices-based applications and their deployment across cloud environments.
- Manage configuration and server automation using Chef.
- Integrate build and deployment processes using tools such as Maven.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking for infrastructure and applications.
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, networking, and production issues.
- Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Follow IT service management and operational best practices aligned with ITIL principles.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, and operations teams to streamline software delivery.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Good knowledge of AWS services including:
- EC2
- RDS
- VPC
- Route 53
- S3
- IAM
- API Gateway
- CloudFront
- WAF
- Experience with microservices deployment and infrastructure management.
- Experience with infrastructure/configuration automation using Chef.
- Knowledge of Maven and application build processes.
- Experience with monitoring and production support.
- Understanding of disaster recovery and high-availability concepts.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of AWS security and networking best practices.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging solutions.
- Experience managing production environments and incident response.
- Knowledge of scripting/automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
