About Us:

We Mark is a growing digital agency delivering professional websites and SEO services to Australian businesses. We work across industries including real estate, retail, and professional services. As we scale our client base, we are hiring a skilled SEO specialist who can also do Web Development to join our remote team on a full\-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

We are hiring experienced professional who can both build high\-quality websites AND deliver strong SEO results. This is a senior, hands\-on role. You will be responsible for building and managing client websites from start to finish, as well as planning and executing SEO strategies that drive real results on Google Australia.

This is not a junior role. We need someone who has done this before and can work independently without hand\-holding.

Web Development Responsibilities:

\- Build and maintain professional, fast\-loading websites using WordPress, Webflow, or similar CMS platforms

\- Develop responsive, mobile\-friendly websites from scratch or from design files

\- Customize WordPress themes and plugins using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

\- Integrate third\-party tools, CRMs, contact forms, and APIs

\- Maintain website security, backups, and technical health

\- Optimize website speed and Core Web Vitals scores

\- Build landing pages, service pages, and business websites for Australian clients

SEO Responsibilities:

\- Conduct keyword research targeting Australian search audiences

\- Perform full technical SEO audits and implement fixes

\- Optimize on\-page SEO including meta titles, descriptions, headings, and internal linking

\- Build and manage Google Search Console and Google Analytics setups

\- Develop and execute link building strategies

\- Produce monthly SEO reports showing rankings, traffic, and progress

\- Stay current with Google algorithm updates affecting Australian search results

Requirements:

\- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in both web development AND SEO

\- Strong proficiency in WordPress — theme customization, plugin management, and PHP basics

\- Proven ability to rank websites on Google with documented results

\- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

\- Hands\-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar)

\- Experience working with Australian, UK, or UAE clients

\- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

\- Ability to manage multiple client projects independently and meet deadlines

\- Portfolio of live websites AND SEO case studies or ranking results is mandatory

Nice to Have:

\- Experience with Webflow or other page builders

\- Knowledge of React, Vue.js, or modern JavaScript frameworks

\- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking
