About Western Modular Homes
Western Modular Homes builds residential homes in our Nisku facility and delivers them to customer sites throughout Alberta. Each home is constructed individually by experienced trades in a controlled indoor environment, then transported, set on the customer's foundation and completed on site.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the planning and delivery of multiple residential homes. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Project Manager is accountable for administering assigned projects through day-to-day coordination, procurement, documentation, schedule maintenance and cross-department follow-up. The Construction Manager owns the overall pre-construction process and approves major project decisions, while the Project Manager manages assigned work within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Key responsibilities
· Manage the sales-to-operations handoff by organizing contract scope, exclusions, customer decisions, schedules and required project information.
· Coordinate customer selections, drawings, engineering, approvals and other pre-construction deliverables for assigned projects.
· Track procurement requirements, obtain pricing and availability information, follow up on purchase commitments and monitor required delivery dates.
· Maintain project schedules, decision logs, action lists, change-order records, procurement trackers and complete electronic project files.
· Coordinate day-to-day communication among customers, drafting, production, suppliers, delivery and completion teams.
· Prepare project meetings, agendas, minutes and status updates, and follow up on assigned actions and deadlines.
· Monitor budgets, committed costs and scope changes, and provide accurate information to the Construction Manager for review and decision-making.
· Review drawings, selections and project information for completeness and promptly identify conflicts, missing information or schedule risks.
· Coordinate production-release and delivery-readiness reviews by confirming required documentation, materials and decisions are in place.
· Escalate customer, design, procurement, budget or schedule issues early and carry out agreed corrective actions.
Qualifications and experience
· Experience in residential construction, project coordination, estimating, procurement, drafting or a related environment.
· Strong customer relationship and expectation-management skills, with the judgment and professionalism to guide custom-home clients through a highly personal building experience.
· Working knowledge of residential drawings, specifications, construction sequencing and trade scopes.
· Strong organization, follow-up, documentation and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines while escalating significant risks and decisions appropriately.
· Professional written and verbal communication skills for customers, suppliers, designers and trades.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with project-management, estimating or construction software is an asset.
· Valid driver's licence and legal authorization to work in Canada.
What success looks like
· Project files, schedules, decision logs and procurement trackers are complete, current and easy for the team to use.
· Customer selections, drawings, approvals and long-lead materials are followed up before they affect production.
· The Construction Manager receives timely, accurate information and emerging risks are escalated early.
· Internal teams, customers and suppliers understand current requirements, dates and outstanding actions.
· Projects move smoothly from pre-construction through factory production and delivery readiness.

This position is based at our Nisku facility and combines office-based project coordination with regular time in an active residential construction factory.
