The Communications \& Media Manager provides creative leadership and operational oversight for Westminster Presbyterian Church's communications, storytelling, media production, and digital engagement. This role stewards the church's brand, builds relationships across the congregation, and creates compelling content through print, digital, photography, video, social media, website management, and worship production. Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Communications \& Media Manager equips staff and volunteers to tell Westminster's story in authentic, welcoming, and mission\-focused ways. While leveraging digital tools to improve efficiency, this role ensures that Westminster's communications remain relational, accurate, and reflective of the church's mission and values.

**Core Responsibilities**

* Lead Westminster's communications strategy to advance the church's engagement and ministry goals. * Serve as steward of Westminster's brand, voice, and visual identity, ensuring excellence and consistency across all communications. * Create and oversee high\-quality communications across print, digital, email, photography, video, and social media platforms. * Produce authentic photography and video that tell the story of Westminster's ministries, worship, and community. * Manage Westminster's website, including content strategy, updates, and collaboration with web vendors on design and technical improvements. * Lead Westminster's social media strategy by creating engaging content, fostering online community, monitoring interactions, and maintaining safe digital spaces. * Design and distribute the weekly email newsletter, digital signage, and "News \& Events" content for worship bulletins. * Develop and implement digital tools, forms, workflows, and integrations through Westminster's church management system to strengthen engagement. * Analyze engagement metrics and user behavior to continuously improve communications using data informed decision making and appropriate tools. * Lead video production, livestreaming, and AV operations, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting volunteers to provide high\-quality worship experiences. * Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to develop worship series, campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and church\-wide communications. * Strengthen internal communications that connect staff, volunteers, ministry teams, and the congregation. * Ensure all communications involving children and vulnerable individuals comply with Westminster's Safe Church and child protection policies. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with Westminster's mission.

**Skills and Attributes**

* Demonstrates emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and composure in live production and other time\-sensitive situations. * Builds trusted relationships with staff, volunteers, congregation members, and ministry leaders. * Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. * Strong creative leadership and aesthetic judgment with attention to detail. * Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. * Experience leading volunteers and fostering collaborative teams. * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable design software), photography, video editing, WordPress or similar CMS platforms, livestream technology, and AV systems. * Experience using church management systems or CRM platforms such as Planning Center. * Uses AI and emerging technologies thoughtfully and ethically to improve efficiency while maintaining authenticity, accuracy, and appropriate safeguards. * Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and uses data to inform decision\-making. * Supports the mission, values, and ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). * **Education \& Experience** Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Ministry, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of experience in communications, marketing, media production, or digital engagement; church or nonprofit experience is preferred. Experience collaborating across departments or ministry teams. Demonstrated success managing multiple communication channels and projects simultaneously. Proven ability to measure engagement, evaluate results, and adapt strategies for continuous improvement.
