**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high\-performance back\-end systems and web applications for client\-facing products and internal tools.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and clients to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. This role is primarily back\-end focused, while offering opportunities to contribute across the stack and support deployment, infrastructure, and continuous\-improvement efforts.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design, develop, test and maintain secure, scalable backend services, APIs, web applications and cloud\-based software. * Design, build and integrate AI and machine\-learning features, including LLM\-based workflows, automation, data\-processing, predictive analytics and customer\-support solutions. * Develop secure integrations between AI models, third\-party APIs, databases and client software systems. * Build and maintain data pipelines, AI\-model integrations, vector\-search or retrieval workflows, where required by client projects. * Collaborate with internal teams and clients to translate business requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions. * Write clean, testable and well\-documented code; contribute to unit, integration and end\-to\-end testing. * Test, evaluate and monitor AI\-enabled systems for accuracy, reliability, security, performance and cost efficiency. * Troubleshoot complex production issues, improve system performance and strengthen reliability. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture, security, deployment and engineering best\-practice decisions. * Support CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, cloud deployment and infrastructure automation. * Keep up to date with relevant AI, software and cloud technologies, and recommend practical improvements. * Communicate project progress clearly with internal teams and clients.

**Required Skills and Experience**

* Professional experience designing, developing and deploying AI, machine\-learning or AI\-enabled software features. * Strong proficiency in Python and experience with backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI or Flask. * Experience integrating AI models, LLMs or third\-party AI APIs into web or backend systems. * Knowledge of machine learning, NLP, generative AI, data processing or predictive analytics. * Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, integrating multiple services, and working with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB. * Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or similar, and willingness to contribute across the full software stack. * Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. * Knowledge of Docker, containerised application deployment and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. * Understanding of secure software development, data protection, testing, monitoring and maintainable software design. * Strong problem\-solving, communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on\-site London environment. * Qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.

**Desirable Skills**

* Experience working in client\-facing delivery teams or fast\-moving product environments. * Familiarity with security, observability, and performance optimisation practices.

Pay: £49,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
