Warehouse Manager

Every Body Eat | Reports to: Director of Operations

About Every Body Eat

Every Body Eat makes food that brings people together — inclusive, joyful, and built without compromise on quality. As we scale manufacturing and strengthen our operational foundation, we're looking for a Warehouse Manager who can bring structure, discipline, and leadership to our inventory and distribution operations.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager owns the day-to-day operation of our warehouse — receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, and outbound fulfillment — while building the systems and team capability needed to support our growth. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the center of our operational excellence goals, working closely with production, planning, and quality teams to keep product moving efficiently and accurately from dock to customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, order picking, shipping, and materials handling, to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Own inventory accuracy — implement and maintain cycle counting, RF scanner-based audits, lot tracking, and FIFO/FEFO practices appropriate for a food manufacturing environment
  • Manage warehouse layout and space utilization to support production throughput and minimize waste
  • Lead, schedule, and develop a team of warehouse associates and supervisors; build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with manufacturing and planning teams, and coordinate with carriers and suppliers, to align inventory flow with production schedules and ensure timely delivery and distribution
  • Track and report key warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy, order fill rate, on-time shipping, labor productivity, damage/loss rates), and prepare performance and safety reports for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA, and safety regulations within the warehouse, including the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using lean management principles to reduce cost, waste, and cycle time
  • Support ERP/systems implementation and data integrity within our ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, for inventory and warehouse management modules
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, freight carriers, and vendors as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience, ideally in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory systems and driving accuracy in a fast-paced environment, including RF scanner-based inventory control
  • Experience with WMS/ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience a plus) and Microsoft Office tools; comfort with data and KPI-driven management
  • Strong people-leadership and managerial communication skills — experience hiring, coaching, and managing hourly teams and supervisors
  • Working knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, or similar) and OSHA safety regulations
  • Familiarity with lean management principles and a track record of driving process improvement
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and planning teams
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one; comfortable operating material handling equipment
  • Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks required in a warehouse environment

What We're Looking For

Someone who brings both hands-on operational rigor and a builder's mindset — comfortable establishing process where none exists yet, while treating the team with the dignity and respect that reflects who we are as a company.
