Job Summary
Oversee product failure investigations, drive yield improvement initiatives, and provide technical leadership across hardware debugging, NPI, and system integration activities. Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams while serving as a key point of contact for customer-facing technical escalations.
Responsibilities
- Lead failure analysis investigations (root cause, corrective action — RCCA) and drive yield improvement programs using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Oversee server hardware debugging, validation, assembly, system integration, NPI, and ECO activities.
- Perform and guide BIOS/BMC functional testing, debug sessions, and test log interpretation.
- Develop and maintain Troubleshooting Guides for repair and author Technical Issue Reports.
- Manage customer-facing & Head Quarters technical communications and act as escalation point for complex issues.
- Support SMT process oversight, board power-on, component verification, and PCBA schematic analysis.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Engineers, ensuring high-quality execution of debug, validation, and repair workflows.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a related engineering area (debug, validation, testing, or hardware analysis).
- Six Sigma, Python, Linux, ISO, IPC-A-610, Networking
- Training in Quality Management Systems.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles including machine design, schematics creation, tolerance analysis, GD&T standards, and mechanical detail drawings.
- Experience with project management methodologies including project scheduling and risk analysis.
- Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication methods and quality standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams on complex projects involving mechanical engineering concepts.
Communication & Leadership
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.
- Ability to deliver safety training and communicate safety requirements effectively in both languages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with production employees, supervisors, engineers, and management.
- Ability to address safety concerns professionally and consistently.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and willingness to work proactively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel between office, warehouse, and manufacturing areas as needed.
- May occasionally work outside normal business hours during system upgrades, maintenance windows, or production support activities.
Pay: From $86,800.00 per year
