**Wokitup! Noodle Bar** is a well\-established Asian\-style restaurant chain operating across the ACT and surrounding regions. As our business continues to grow steadily, we are seeking an experienced and passionate **Cook** to join our friendly team at our Belconnen location.
**Position Description – Cook**
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking food in accordance with our menu and quality standards.
We are looking for someone who can work minimum 20 hrs.
Monday 4:00\-9:15pm
Tuesday 4:00 \-9:15
Wednesday 10:30\-4:00 pm
Thursday 10:30\-4:00 pm
Weekends depending on rosters.
Your duties will include:
* Preparing, seasoning and cooking menu items * Monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared to perfection * Washing, peeling and cutting meat and vegetables ready for cooking * Receiving and examining food supplies to ensure quality and quantity standards are met * Storing food in temperature\-controlled facilities and monitoring food quality and shelf life * Ensuring cooking equipment is maintained in a clean and reusable condition * Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and an organised workspace * Collaborating with kitchen and front\-of\-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience * Reporting to the manager regarding workflow, equipment, food safety and workplace safety matters
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Wok Skills (Desirable but need to learn) * Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards * A genuine passion for food and hospitality * Ability to work in a fast\-paced team environment
