Our centres provide a wide range of solutions including domestic and international parcel shipping, packing services, printing, mailbox services, fulfilment and business support solutions to both business and private customers.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious, commercially focused and customer\-driven Store Manager to lead our Manchester Piccadilly centre.
**The Role**
As Store Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day\-to\-day operation, commercial performance and financial success of the Manchester Piccadilly store. You will lead, motivate and develop your team whilst delivering exceptional customer service and driving sustainable business growth.
You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and ensuring every customer receives a first\-class experience.
The role combines operational leadership, sales development, customer relationship management and team management within a fast\-paced retail and logistics environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Drive sales growth through proactive business development and local networking. * Generate new B2B opportunities through outbound sales activity, referrals and relationship building. * Build and maintain strong relationships with existing business customers to maximise retention and account growth. * Identify opportunities to increase customer spend by promoting the full range of Mail Boxes Etc. products and services. * Support the preparation of quotations, proposals and customer presentations. * Deliver against agreed sales, revenue and profitability targets.
**Customer Service**
* Deliver an outstanding customer experience for both retail and business customers. * Manage enquiries relating to domestic and international shipping, printing, mailbox services and business support solutions. * Work closely with existing customers requiring items to be collected, professionally packed and shipped, ensuring every shipment is handled safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. * Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, acting as the primary point of escalation where required. * Build long\-term customer relationships through exceptional service and regular communication.
**Store Operations**
* Manage the daily operation of the centre, ensuring excellent standards of presentation, compliance and customer service. * Ensure shipments are processed accurately and in line with carrier and company procedures. * Oversee packing operations to ensure fragile, valuable and specialist items are packed to professional standards. * Manage stock levels, ordering of supplies and supplier relationships. * Ensure compliance with all Health \& Safety, security and operational procedures.
**Financial Management**
* Take ownership of the store's financial performance and profitability. * Monitor key business KPIs including revenue, gross margin, costs and profitability. * Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports. * Manage cash handling, banking, invoicing and debt management processes. * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
**Leadership \& People Management**
* Lead, motivate and inspire the store team to deliver exceptional results. * Recruit, onboard and train new team members. * Coach, develop and performance manage employees through regular one\-to\-one meetings and ongoing feedback. * Set clear objectives and ensure team members are fully trained across all products, services and operational procedures. * Create a positive, collaborative and customer\-focused culture within the store. * Manage rotas, holidays and staffing levels to ensure operational excellence.
**Skills \& Experience Essential**
* Previous experience managing a retail or service\-based operation. * Proven experience leading and developing a successful team. * Strong commercial awareness with experience delivering sales and profit targets. * Excellent customer service and relationship management skills. * Strong organisational and time management abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems. * Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast\-paced environment. * Full right to work in the UK. * Ability to pass a DBS check.
**Desirable**
* Experience within parcel shipping, logistics, courier, print or business services. * Previous B2B sales or account management experience. * Experience working with shipping carriers such as DHL, UPS, FedEx or DPD. * Knowledge of packing and export documentation. * Experience managing financial KPIs and budgets.
