Born and raised in Melbourne, YOMG (Yo My Goodness) has grown from its Victorian roots into an expanding network of locations across Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

We’re now bringing the complete YOMG experience—quality burgers, loaded shakes and premium self-serve frozen yogurt—to Western Australia.

As we launch into this exciting new market, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Full-Time Venue Manager to lead our team at YOMG Galleria in Morley.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a new venue from the beginning, build a high-performing team, establish strong front and back of house operations and help grow YOMG’s presence in Western Australia.

About the role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and day-to-day operation of YOMG Galleria.

You’ll lead the venue’s front and back of house management teams, creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring consistently high standards across food quality, customer service, safety, profitability and operational performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, excellent people-management skills and the ability to confidently lead a busy quick-service restaurant.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the venue’s daily front and back of house operations.
  • Lead, support and develop the Kitchen Supervisor, Front of house supervisors and team members.
  • Build and maintain a positive, energetic, accountable and customer-focused team culture.
  • Recruit, onboard, train and retain a capable team in preparation for the store opening and ongoing operations.
  • Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and implement performance-management procedures when required.
  • Prepare and manage rosters in line with operational requirements, labour budgets and employment obligations.
  • Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs, productivity, profitability and other key performance indicators.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, preparation, presentation and customer service.
  • Ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently and profitably in accordance with YOMG’s standards.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, stock control, stocktakes, FIFO rotation and waste-management procedures.
  • Implement effective operational controls to minimise waste, reduce losses and manage costs.
  • Maintain high standards of venue cleanliness, presentation, equipment care and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with food-safety, workplace health and safety, security, employment, licensing and company requirements.
  • Oversee cash handling, banking, security procedures and loss-prevention measures.
  • Respond to and resolve customer feedback, complaints, staffing matters and operational issues professionally.
  • Complete operational reports, audits, compliance records and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
  • Implement company initiatives, promotions, procedures, training programs and system updates.
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers, contractors, shopping-centre management and YOMG Head Office.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, service, productivity, team performance and overall venue results.
  • Support future business-growth initiatives and contribute to YOMG’s continued expansion in Western Australia.

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Availability to work 38 hours per week across a five-day roster.
  • Flexibility to workdays, nights—including shifts ending around midnight—and weekends as required.
  • Proven venue-management or senior leadership experience within hospitality or a quick-service restaurant environment.
  • Experience managing both front and back of house operations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, developing and building large teams.
  • Strong commercial knowledge, including sales, labour management, food costs, stock control and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety and operational compliance.
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training and performance management.
  • A hands-on, self-motivated and solutions-focused leadership style.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational abilities.
  • The confidence to take ownership and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to exceptional customer service and consistently high-quality food.
  • A trustworthy and dependable approach, supported by excellent references.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and uphold YOMG’s standards.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, people and operational excellence.
  • The ambition to grow professionally and pursue future career opportunities with YOMG.
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

Induction and training

To ensure you’re fully supported and set up for success, the successful candidate will complete a three-to-four-week induction and training program in Victoria before the Western Australian store launch.

The training may be completed in one consecutive block or split across multiple visits. All required travel and accommodation expenses will be provided by YOMG.

  • A supportive, energetic and people-focused workplace.

You’ll report to YOMG’s Multi-Site and State Managers.
