**Your Role** =============
For our team of researchers and engineers, we seek a student to support our research and experiments on the characterization of thin films for inline metrology in battery manufacturing.
* Develop and evaluate optical spectroscopy concepts for thin\-film characterization with a focus on battery manufacturing processes * Design and perform experiments to measure and model optical properties of thin films for inline metrology * Analyze and process spectral data to assess measurement robustness for industrial use * Support the development and testing of prototype spectroscopy setups and inline metrology demonstrators * Research existing solutions related to optical thin\-film metrology and adapt relevant approaches to our application
**Your Profile** ================
We are looking for you, ideally starting in October, for 6 months:
* A bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a master’s program in mechanical/electrical engineering, optics \& photonics, physics, or similar * Good understanding of the fundamentals of optics and electronics, ideally with a focus on measurement and sensing systems * Programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, C/C\+\+, or CUDA * Ideally hands\-on experience with optical systems * Excellent organization, problem\-solving \& communication skills (English and/or German) * Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
