About the Role
Zettabyte is looking for a Specification Engineer Intern who is passionate about software technology, analytical thinking, and technical documentation. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to understand software requirements, analyze technical documentation, identify inconsistencies, and support software quality assurance activities. This is a software and IT-focused position, not a civil, mechanical, or industrial engineering specification role.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, analyze, and organize software requirements and technical documentation, primarily written in English.
- Prepare and maintain structured software specifications, functional requirements, and technical documentation.
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and checklists based on software requirements.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and potential issues in specifications or software functionality.
- Support software testing, bug reporting, and documentation of test results.
- Collaborate with Specification Engineers and Developers, using AI-assisted tools when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Final-year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related software-focused discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills, particularly reading technical documentation, understanding written requirements, and explaining technical information verbally.
- Good understanding of software development concepts, software requirements, and basic testing principles.
- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency when reviewing information.
- Comfortable working with structured documentation and AI tools such as ChatGPT.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with software testing, bug reporting, or QA processes.
- Basic understanding of programming, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or API concepts.
- Experience with software-related academic projects, technical documentation, or requirement analysis.
