Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Laravel Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PHP and Laravel and be capable of developing scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with product, UI/UX, QA, and other engineering teams to build and improve solutions that support our business and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Build and optimize backend functionality, database structures, and application workflows.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers, product owners, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Design and work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
- Use Git and version control practices for development and deployment workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and development processes.
- Monitor existing applications and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Laravel, PHP, web technologies, and software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Laravel framework.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of API development and third-party API integrations.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of application security and performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Laravel 8/9/10/11 or later versions.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks or libraries such as React, Vue.js, or similar.
- Experience with Redis, queues, caching, and background jobs.
- Familiarity with Docker or cloud-based development environments.
- Experience with payment gateway or fintech-related API integrations is an advantage.
- Understanding of CI/CD and deployment processes is a plus.
- Experience working with large-scale or high-traffic web applications is preferred.
