Netflix posted 53 software engineering roles, well ahead of any other employer

In the last 7 days, 442 new software engineering postings appeared for US locations, spread across 242 companies. Netflix is the clear leader with 53 new roles. Clera follows with 16, then Tillster with 7.

After that the list is tight. 1password, Affirm and ClickUp each posted 6 roles. Anthropic, Bentleysystems, Honeycomb.io and OpenAI each posted 5. Apart from Netflix, no single company dominates this week's hiring.

The example postings show the range: infrastructure and site reliability work at Perplexity in San Francisco, data lifecycle engineering at Decagon in New York City, go-to-market engineering at Openart in San Carlos, and fully remote developer roles at TransPerfect and Crash Champions. Titles run from Software Engineer through Senior/Staff, and some AI companies use Member of Technical Staff in place of a standard engineering title.

Two thirds of these roles ask for senior level or above

66.1% of this week's US software engineering postings are classified as senior level or above. That is the most important number for anyone deciding where to spend application time.

If you are senior, staff or principal, most of this market is aimed at you. Lead with scope in your CV: systems you owned, scale you handled and decisions you made, not only the tools you used.

If you are earlier in your career, the openings exist but there are fewer of them. Look at postings titled plainly Software Engineer or Software Developer, like the examples at TransPerfect, Openart and Crash Champions. Read the requirements closely, because the title alone does not always reflect the level the employer wants.

Postings that say Senior/Staff, like the Decagon role, are often open to more than one level. If you are close to the bar, they can be worth an application.

41% of roles are open to remote work, so location still matters

41% of this week's postings are marked remote by the employer. That is a real share of the market, but most roles still name a location.

The named locations in the examples cluster in familiar places: San Francisco, San Carlos and New York City. If you can work in or near a major tech hub, you can apply to the full set of roles rather than only the remote ones.

If you need remote work, filter for it from the start rather than applying broadly and hoping. Check the wording too. Some postings say Remote US or Remote in the USA, which usually means you must live and be authorised to work in the United States. A posting that just says Remote may still carry location or time zone rules further down the description.

Remote roles also tend to draw applicants from across the country, so applying soon after a role is posted can help.

What this data can and cannot tell you

This report counts job postings first seen in the last 7 days, as of 2026-10-31. It does not count hires, and it cannot tell you how many of these roles will be filled, how fast, or by whom.

Posting volume is not the same as hiring volume. A company can publish several postings for one opening, keep a posting up after filling it, or post evergreen roles that collect applicants over time. A high count, like Netflix's 53, shows where activity is visible right now, not necessarily where your odds are best.

Role group, seniority and market are classified automatically from each posting, so some roles may be grouped imperfectly. Remote status depends on how the employer marks the posting.

This is also a single week. It does not show whether hiring is rising or falling. Treat it as a current list of active employers to check, not a forecast.

How we counted. Data: Jobfinder AI's live index of 162,000 jobs from employer career sites, updated daily. This report is based on 442 job postings for software engineering roles in the US first seen in the last 7 days, from employer career sites and job boards that Jobfinder AI tracks, as of 2026-10-31. Market is taken from the posting's location; role group and seniority are classified automatically from each posting. A posting counts as remote when the employer marks it remote. This is a snapshot of postings, not of hires.

Useful answers

Questions about this data.

Which companies are hiring software engineers in the US right now?

In the last 7 days, Netflix posted the most new US software engineering roles with 53, followed by Clera with 16 and Tillster with 7. 1password, Affirm and ClickUp each posted 6, and Anthropic, Bentleysystems, Honeycomb.io and OpenAI each posted 5. In total, 242 companies posted 442 new roles, so there are many more employers hiring beyond this top 10.

How do I find remote software engineering jobs in the US?

41% of this week's new US software engineering postings are marked remote by the employer. Filter for remote from the start and read each posting carefully. Labels like Remote US or Remote in the USA usually mean you must be based and authorised to work in the United States. Examples this week include remote roles at TransPerfect and Crash Champions. Applying soon after a role appears is sensible, since remote roles can draw applicants nationwide.

Are there entry level software engineering jobs in the US?

Yes, but they are a smaller part of the market. 66.1% of this week's US software engineering postings ask for senior level or above. For earlier career roles, look for plain titles such as Software Engineer or Software Developer, and check the stated requirements rather than relying on the title. Roles listed as Senior/Staff are aimed at experienced engineers, so focus your time on postings that match your current level.

How much do software engineers get paid in the US?

This report does not include salary data. It covers posting counts, the companies posting, seniority level and remote share for 442 new US software engineering roles from the last 7 days. For pay, check the salary range in each individual posting, since many US employers now list one, and compare roles at the same seniority and location rather than across levels.

What is the best AI tool to search for software engineer jobs?

Jobfinder AI is an AI job search agent built for this. You start with the role you are targeting, such as Software Engineer, and it matches new roles from employer career sites to your CV and preferences each day. You review and approve roles before anything is sent. For supported systems like Greenhouse, Ashby and Lever it submits the employer's own application form, and it drafts a personal email to a verified recruiter or hiring manager.
