The Purpose:
As a Strategy Manager, Growth Initiatives at PPRO, you will play a critical role owning our growth initiatives portfolio end-to-end — the process behind it, the existing initiatives that make it up, and the pipeline of new bets that feeds it.
This is a hands-on, execution-first role for a senior operator who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable owning outcomes with a high degree of autonomy and relatively little guidance. You will work across our portfolio of high-priority growth initiatives — driving coordination, collaboration and action against ambitious timelines. Where something doesn't yet have an owner, or needs to be proven out before we commit real resource to it, you'll drive it yourself: quickly ideating, testing, and bringing a clear kill-or-continue call.
You will report directly to the VP of Strategy & Growth and work closely with senior leaders, including Exec, across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Risk, and Legal to turn strategic intent into tangible business outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Growth Initiative Ownership & Execution
-
Own the growth initiatives portfolio end-to-end: the process, the existing initiatives, and the pipeline — without necessarily being the hands-on owner driving every individual initiative yourself
-
Translate strategic hypotheses into concrete plans, milestones, and delivery
-
Own success metrics for your initiatives and ensure they deliver measurable business impact
-
Identify risks and dependencies early, and work pragmatically to resolve them.
-
Quickly ideate and test new growth opportunities, and bring a clear kill-or-continue recommendation before we commit material resource.
Cross-Functional Leadership
-
Work hands-on with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Risk, and Legal teams to drive progress.
-
Corral and align the owners actually driving each initiative, and influence senior stakeholders – hold them to clear goals, priorities and timelines
-
Maintain momentum across complex, cross-functional initiatives operating in ambiguous environments and ensuring we’re focused on the highest-ROI work at any point in time
Commercial & Strategic Problem Solving
-
Build and iterate on business cases, operating models, and execution plans for growth initiatives.
-
Assess trade-offs across growth, complexity, risk, and scalability.
-
Support decision-making with structured analysis and clear recommendations.
Operating Rhythm & Communication
-
Provide clear, structured updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
-
Build concise, executive-ready materials that simplify complex topics and enable fast decisions.
-
Help establish repeatable ways of working for how new bets are evaluated, executed, and scaled.
What would make you a great fit:
-
6-8+ years of experience in execution-heavy roles within fast-moving environments.
-
Strong preference for experience in payments, fintech, or adjacent regulated industries.
-
Background in roles such as Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Expansion, New Products, or similar – preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
-
Proven track record of taking ambiguous initiatives from idea to execution and measurable outcomes.
-
A naturally proactive, action-oriented operator who speaks up, challenges senior stakeholders respectfully, and brings a point of view rather than waiting to be asked
-
Strong commercial judgment and analytical capability.
-
Ability to operate independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and judgement - comfortable making calls with relatively little guidance.
-
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to structure and convey complex ideas clearly.
-
A strong bias toward action and delivery over analysis for its own sake.
Nice to haves:
-
Direct experience launching or scaling new products, markets, or business lines.
-
Exposure to regulated environments and working closely with Risk, Legal, or Compliance teams.
-
Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams on delivery.
-
Familiarity with building lightweight governance models for complex initiatives.
What's in it for you?
-
Direct exposure to PPRO's executive leadership and involvement in some of the company's highest-priority growth initiatives.
-
Real ownership and accountability for shaping and executing new bets and a mandate that grows with the portfolio, as PPRO's growth initiatives expand.

Our Principles:
We get things done: We are courageous; we take ownership, make decisions and get things done.
We act with trust and integrity: We listen first and challenge respectfully. We seek out and leverage diverse perspectives. We welcome and offer honest and open feedback, always assuming positive intent
We put the customer first: We are laser focused on delivering outstanding outcomes for our customers. We put the customer at the heart of what we do.
We make things better: We boldly explore new ideas and have an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.
We work as a team: We collaborate closely and value team success over individual achievement.
Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
Payments only work when they reflect how different people actually pay, and we build teams the same way: our people span more than 50 nationalities, and that mix is exactly what makes us good at this. So if you're reading this and wondering whether you tick every box, apply anyway. We're far more interested in what you'll bring than a perfect match on paper.
We welcome applicants of every background, identity, and experience, and we make sure our hiring process is accessible to everyone. If you need an adjustment at any stage, just let us know: we're happy to help.
A few more things:We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
