Role Overview:

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Data Engineer to join a cross-functionalAgile team within thebanking domain. The role focuses on designing and improving end-to-end data solutions acrossAWS cloud and on-premises (Oracle DB) environments, working withAirflow,dbt, andSAP Data Services, and contributing toData Mesh andMedallion architecture implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and improve data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing within aData Mesh platform acrossAWS cloud and legacyDWH environments

• Build and optimizeETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures usingAirflow,dbt, andSAP Data Services

• Support modernization and migration of legacy data systems toward cloud-native architecture

• Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and performance across all data workflows

• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions

• Perform code reviews, implement monitoring and alerting, and resolve data pipeline defects

• Participate in the EODROTA rotation, with availability for incident resolution until 23:00-24:00

Must-Have Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience withSQL andPython

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms - AWS,Azure, orGCP

• Good understanding of data pipeline tools such asAirflow ordbt

• Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms:Oracle DB,SAP IQ,SAP Data Services, andSAP Business Objects

• Knowledge of solution integrations - real-time, message-based, andevent-driven architectures - including bridging legacy systems with modern data platforms

• Exposure to test automation andDevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, security best practices,CI/CD, andSDLC

• Experience withData Products deliveries,Medallion architecture, andData Mesh architecture

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience within thebanking/ customer business domain

• Experience with container orchestration tools:Kubernetes,Docker

• Understanding of streaming data pipelines and platforms:Kafka,Spark,Flink

• Experience with reporting tools such asPower BI

• Experience with bothSQL andNoSQL databases

• Java development experience
