Job Description: Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud Architecture & Security)
Experience Required: 8 to 10 years Location: Ahmedabad Only Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays as working days. Rotational shifts are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM IST.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to design, secure, and manage our infrastructure and deployment ecosystem. The ideal candidate can work across the full stack, from OS-level administration to cloud architecture, security, and CI/CD automation, and can guide and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures on AWS.
- Define and enforce infrastructure security standards, including system hardening, IAM policies, network segmentation, and secrets management.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation, and support compliance requirements.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL), including user management, permissions, cron jobs, and log management.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Apache and Nginx (virtual hosts, reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL/TLS).
- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (backups, restores, replication, performance tuning).
- Set up and deploy applications built on PHP (LAMP/LEMP), Python (Django/Flask, Gunicorn/uWSGI), and the MEAN and MERN stacks.
- Manage and deploy applications using AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Route 53, ELB/ALB, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling.
- Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) with security checks integrated into the pipeline.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Plan and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Manage DNS, SSL certificates, and domain configurations.
- Write and maintain shell/bash scripts for automation.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and reduce downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting of production issues and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their infrastructure and deployment work.
Required Skills
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration and DevOps.
- Proven experience in designing cloud and infrastructure architecture for production environments.
- Strong experience in infrastructure and cloud security, including hardening, IAM, firewalls, WAF, and vulnerability management.
- Strong working knowledge of Apache and Nginx.
- Experience administering SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Practical experience deploying PHP, Python, MEAN, and/or MERN applications.
- Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, Route 53).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting; Python scripting is a plus.
- Experience with IaC and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Working knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Strong understanding of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing, SSL/TLS).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to lead and work in a collaborative team.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
