We are looking for a technically skilled, detail-oriented, and highly organized Post Production Coordinator to join the in-house Post-Production team at #ABtalks.
The role sits at the centre of our post-production workflow. You will run the edit schedule, brief our in-house editors after every shoot, coordinate with our external post-production partners, and look after the team's media server and footage backups, so that every episode moves smoothly from shoot to final release.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable with media management and digital production workflows, and takes a proactive approach to keeping deadlines and teams on track.
Works with: Senior Editor, Junior Editor, Subtitling Intern, Production and Release teams, and external partners (sound and editing)
Responsibilities
Edit Schedule & Episode Pipeline
- Own the edit schedule across all episodes, assigning work to the in-house editors and setting clear deadlines.
- Brief editors right after each shoot, with footage, notes and references ready, so first drafts are delivered within 2–3 days.
- Track every episode from shoot to final export, including edit versions, feedback rounds, sound, subtitles and deliverables.
- Maintain an up-to-date overview of the episode library (edited and ready-to-release episodes) so release dates can be moved around with confidence.
- Make sure final exports are delivered well ahead of release days, and flag any risk of delay early.
- Proactively identify and communicate missing assets, technical issues, or potential delays that could affect timelines.
Team & Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with our external post-production partners, including sound cleaning and mixing for every episode and social media asset, and the editing of b-roll-heavy segments (such as Business and Untold Stories).
- Send partners the right files and briefs on time, follow up on deliveries, and check that what comes back is complete.
- Supervise the Subtitling Intern day to day: assign subtitle tasks, track deadlines, and make sure subtitle files are ready before release.
- Onboard each new Subtitling Intern at the start of their 3-month rotation, and make sure guides and files are handed over properly.
- Ensure a smooth workflow from filming through final delivery.
Media Management, Server & Backups
- Manage the transfer, backup, organization, and storage of footage and audio files following shoots.
- Oversee the team's media server, ensuring all footage, project files, audio, and other production assets are properly stored, organized, and accessible.
- Maintain a clear and consistent folder structure across all episodes and projects, with standardized file naming.
- Verify footage transfers and backups to ensure all media is complete, securely stored, and accessible.
- Monitor server storage capacity and manage archiving and retrieval of completed episodes and production assets.
- Regularly review the server for duplicate, misplaced, or missing files and resolve inconsistencies.
- Identify and troubleshoot file management issues, escalating technical server problems when necessary.
- Handle on-set media management and data wrangling when required.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to run structured schedules and workflows.
- Good understanding of video production, post-production, and digital media workflows.
- Experience managing media servers, shared storage, folder structures, and digital asset organization.
- Familiarity with footage transfers, backup procedures, file verification, and media archiving.
- Comfortable working with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with editors, production teams, and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple episodes at once, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Previous experience in post-production coordination, media management, or DIT workflows is preferred.
- Experience in a production company, post-production house, or digital media environment is an advantage.
What You'll Gain
- Ownership of the edit schedule and episode pipeline for a professionally produced interview show.
- Ownership of media management workflows, server organization, and digital asset management.
- Exposure to the full episode production process, from filming through final release.
- Experience coordinating in-house editors, an intern, and external post-production partners.
- The opportunity to help shape and streamline a newly built in-house post-production team.
