Senior Professional Officer - Product Manager
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification preferably in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Anthropology, Industrial
Psychology, User Experience, Industrial Design or a related
field.
- At least 5 years’ relevant product management experience
Key Performance Areas
- Discover, define and validate data and AI product
opportunities with stakeholders, users and the Data Analytics
Hub, ensuring each product solves a real problem and delivers
measurable value to the City.
- Own assigned products end to end, from discovery through
release and ongoing iteration, working closely with data
scientists, data analysts, data engineers and front-end
developers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders,
users and partners to shape product direction and clearly
communicate progress, decisions and outcomes.
- Apply and help strengthen the governance frameworks,
standards and best practices for data and AI products across
the City’s data analytics and AI community.
- Lead or contribute to Data Analytics Hub projects and
programmes, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and
budget, with risks actively managed.
- Carry out change, risk, procurement, contract and
performance management as required.
- Create and maintain clear, high-quality documentation
for assigned products, product management activities and
governance practices.
- Keep up to date with developments in product management,
delivery practice and data and AI, and identify opportunities to
apply them in the City context.
