About the Role
Cure Business Solutions is a managed IT services provider serving small and mid\-sized businesses and healthcare clients across southeast Iowa. We also operate a residential rental portfolio. We have a large, growing backlog of AI and automation work and we are looking for one capable person to own it.
This is hands\-on build work, not a research role. You will be programming chatbots, standing up automation pipelines, wiring up agentic AI workflows, and integrating them with the systems we already run — FileMaker, Buildium, Outlook, our websites, and our phone system. The work is varied and it does not run out. Someone who does this well develops into a genuine expert in artificial intelligence, bots, and agentic systems.
What You'll Build
* Chatbots that search our internal ticket history and answer questions from indexed documents * Automation pipelines in n8n — lead response, work\-order triage, monitoring, and notifications * Retrieval and embedding pipelines over large datasets (our ticket history runs into the millions of records) * Internal and customer\-facing self\-service tools and website FAQ bots * Pattern\-mining and troubleshooting workflows that read context and draft informed responses * Voice automation integrated with our phone system
Required Qualifications
* **Verifiable IT work experience.** A prior job in information technology is required — support, programming, security, systems administration, or similar. Employment history will be verified. * **Demonstrated ability to do the work.** You must be able to show us. Bring a portfolio, prior projects, or work samples, and be prepared to build during the interview. We run a practical, hands\-on interview with a work sample that matches what the role actually requires. If you cannot demonstrate the work, this is not the right role. * **Ability to pass a rigorous background check.** This position handles sensitive client and business data. A thorough background check is required. No felony convictions and no misdemeanor convictions, with the exception of minor traffic offenses such as speeding. * Reliable, self\-directed, and able to manage your own priorities against a large queue.

**Nice to Have**
* Microsoft Graph / OAuth2 * FileMaker Data API / ODBC integration * Flutter or Laravel
Prior professional experience working in AI — a previous role building AI, machine learning, large language model, chatbot, or automation systems — is a strong plus. We weigh demonstrated ability over any single item on this list; a strong builder who is missing a tool here still worth talking to.
