Senior Java Backend Developer
Location: Kraków, Poland Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days/week
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a leading technology team in Kraków.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend application development, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications, designing and delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and other development teams to deliver high-quality software.

Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members where required.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery best practices.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
