Database Operations

  • Manage operational health of Azure Database for PostgreSQL instances: backups, scaling, patching, connection pooling, and monitoring
  • Execute database maintenance tasks under the guidance of our Lead Developer, who owns schema architecture and design
  • Assist with data environment configurations that support development, staging, and production workflows

EU Data Residency & Compliance Support

  • Configure and maintain Azure region settings to support data residency requirements for an upcoming EU market launch
  • Implement hosting controls in alignment with GDPR-related guidance provided by legal or compliance consultants
  • Maintain documentation of data flow and infrastructure topology to support compliance review

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of a small, collaborative remote team

Preferred

  • Experience with Azure IoT Hub, Event Hubs, or comparable device connection management services
  • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Networks and network-level infrastructure configuration
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Azure Bicep or Terraform
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS (App Center, Fastlane, or similar)
