We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join a well-established automotive engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality automotive components.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking to join a professional engineering environment, offering competitive rates of pay and a fantastic four-day working week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding on automotive and precision-engineered components.
- Produce high-quality welds in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare, assemble and weld fabricated components to required standards.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength and consistency.
- Identify and rectify welding defects where necessary.
- Operate welding equipment and associated fabrication tools safely.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve manufacturing targets.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in MIG and TIG welding within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, preparation and finishing.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience within automotive engineering or precision manufacturing would be advantageous.
- Relevant welding qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
What’s on Offer?
- £16.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Four-day working week – Monday to Thursday.
- 6:00am – 3:30pm working hours.
