About the role
CMP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Finance Administrator to support the delivery of water infrastructure projects across Australia.
Working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, Suppliers and Clients, you will provide administrative, financial and reporting support that helps ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in accordance with company processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in project financial control/ accountancy within a rapidly growing professional services company servicing the water industry.
This role will be based in our Mulgrave office, however, we are a national business and will consider alternate CMP office locations.
Experience
- Proven experience in Project Financial Controller, Project Accountant or Project Administrator roles and ideally within an engineering consultancy or professional services environment.
- Strong experience in project financial administration, invoicing and procurement.
- Extensive experience supporting projects, operations and/ or service delivery teams.
Professional Skills
- ERP exposure: min 10 years deep experience using Oracle NetSuite for project financial control, project administration, invoicing and procurement.
- Financial and commercial acumen: managing project transactions, WIP, payment claims/ invoicing, timesheet chasing, and budget-vs-forecast margin tracking.
- Change/ variations: management of the NetSuite administrative processes for variations and baseline budget adjustment.
- Payment Claims/ Invoices: consideration of labor hours, project milestones and variation entitlements as inputs into the preparation of Payment Claims and Invoices in support of Project Managers.
- Finance system integrity: ownership of project data in NetSuite as the single source of truth.
- Continuous improvement: strong experience in NetSuite troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives, to support ongoing ERP, systems and processes refinement.
- Attention to detail and cadence: consistent enforcing of project governance, maintaining data integrity, and adhering to weekly commercial rhythms.
- Communication: confident communication skills to collaborate with and support, Project Managers, Finance Manager and Executives.

- Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
