Job Purpose
The Senior Executive – Outdoor Landscaping will be responsible for managing day-to-day outdoor landscaping and horticulture operations at client sites. The role involves supervising site teams, ensuring proper plant and landscape maintenance, maintaining service quality, managing manpower and materials, and ensuring timely completion of all operational activities as per the agreed SOW/SOP and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outdoor Landscape Operations
- Manage day-to-day outdoor landscaping and horticulture maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of lawns, hedges, shrubs, trees, seasonal plants, ground covers and other landscape areas.
- Plan and supervise activities such as mowing, pruning, trimming, weeding, watering, fertilization and plant protection.
- Ensure proper irrigation and watering schedules are followed.
- Monitor plant health and identify pest, disease, nutritional and irrigation-related issues.
- Plan seasonal plantation, replacement and beautification activities.
2. Site & Team Management
- Supervise and guide gardeners, supervisors and other site manpower.
- Prepare daily/weekly work plans and allocate manpower according to site requirements.
- Ensure manpower attendance, grooming, discipline and productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work is completed as per required standards.
- Train the site team on horticulture practices, safety and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
3. Client Coordination
- Maintain regular communication with the client/site representative.
- Attend client meetings and understand operational requirements and concerns.
- Resolve client complaints and ensure timely closure of service-related issues.
- Prepare and share updates, reports and action plans with the client and management.
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients and ensure high customer satisfaction.
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure landscaping activities are carried out according to the approved SOW, SOP and maintenance standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Ensure proper usage and storage of fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals and other materials.
- Maintain required MSDS and chemical safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements.
5. Material & Inventory Management
- Monitor consumption of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, soil, manure and other horticulture materials.
- Raise material requirements based on site consumption and operational needs.
- Maintain proper inventory and avoid unnecessary wastage.
- Verify materials received at site and ensure appropriate utilization.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain records of manpower, attendance, plant replacement, chemical/fertilizer usage and maintenance activities.
- Prepare site inspection reports and action trackers.
- Maintain documentation related to client complaints, closures and preventive actions.
- Submit reports to the reporting manager within the defined timelines.
7. Business & Operational Support
- Support the Operations Manager in managing multiple sites, where required.
- Assist in manpower planning and deployment.
- Support estimation of material and manpower requirements for new projects.
- Participate in site surveys, recce and implementation activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and other internal teams for operational requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of horticulture and outdoor landscaping practices.
- Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, pruning, irrigation, fertilization and pest management.
- Good team handling and manpower management skills.
- Strong client coordination and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple activities/sites simultaneously.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and handle operational pressure.
Educational Qualification
Preferred: Diploma/Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping or a related field.
Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in outdoor landscaping, horticulture, facility management or plant maintenance operations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in managing commercial, corporate, residential, hospitality or institutional landscaping sites.
- Experience in handling gardeners and horticulture teams.
- Practical knowledge of seasonal plantation and landscape development.
- Willingness to travel between client sites as required.
- Strong focus on service quality, client satisfaction and operational discipline.
