About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in POS (Point-of-Sale) systems and Retail operations. The role is responsible for working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and define business requirements while ensuring successful delivery of retail technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for POS and Retail projects.
- Conduct requirement workshops, interviews, and business process analysis sessions with users and stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare and maintain BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, use cases, and related project documentation.
- Act as the key liaison between business teams, development teams, QA teams, and vendors.
- Analyze retail business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancement.
- Support solution design discussions and ensure requirements are fully understood by technical teams.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in issue analysis, solution validation, and change request management.
- Ensure requirements traceability and manage requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development, system implementation, or digital transformation projects.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience working in the Retail domain, preferably involving POS systems.
- Hands-on experience gathering requirements for POS, Store Operations, Inventory Management, Loyalty Programs, Payment Systems, or Omnichannel Retail solutions.
- Strong understanding of retail business processes, including sales transactions, promotions, inventory management, customer loyalty, and store operations.
- Experience creating BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Requirement Specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to bridge communication between business users and technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments.
