Position Overview:
We are looking for a Sr. Engineering Manager responsible for building and scaling a global software engineering practice. Reporting directly to the CTO/CEO, the role will define and evolve engineering strategies, drive the AI/ML Centre of Excellence, and strengthen Cloud-native, Mobile and Web-based product delivery practices. The role will drive capability and technology adoption, partner with Sales, Pre-sales and Delivery to shape and deliver strategic engagements, and ensure delivery excellence, operational rigor and technical innovation aligned with Idyaite’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the global software engineering practice across technology domains and verticals.
- Define and embed best practices, methodologies and frameworks for modern software delivery, including Cloud-native, Agile, DevSecOps and AI-enabled engineering.
- Build capability and talent roadmaps; recruit, mentor and develop engineering leaders and teams.
- Lead solution and technical architecture, system design and technology roadmaps for scalable, secure and reliable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Gen AI, Agentic AI, AI/ML, RAG, microservices, event-driven and cloud-native architectures.
- Partner with Sales, Pre-sales and Delivery to understand client needs, shape solutions, contribute to proposals and support strategic engagements.
- Act as a technical thought leader and trusted advisor to clients, CxOs and internal stakeholders on architecture, platforms and emerging technologies.
- Evangelize and drive adoption of Idyaite’s technology assets, frameworks and engineering practices.
- Ensure delivery excellence, quality, performance, security, scalability and reliability across engagements.
- Identify technical risks, architectural gaps and technical debt, and drive effective mitigation, remediation and continuous optimization.
- Be hands-on when required with prototyping, troubleshooting, debugging and technical problem-solving.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and continuously identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement and engineering excellence.
- Communicate architecture decisions, technical risks and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders and clients.
Experience & Domain:
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with 5+ years in architecture, technical or engineering leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, large-scale solutions.
- Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in one or more domains such as FinTech, Retail, Supply Chain, Automotive or Healthcare is preferred.
Technical & Delivery Competence:
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, design patterns, scalability, reliability and secure-by-design principles.
- Hands-on experience or strong technical understanding across frontend, backend, cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, observability and DevSecOps.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven and AI/ML-enabled architectures.
- Strong track record in performance optimization, technical debt management and quality-driven delivery.

- Demonstrated ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams and drive measurable capability development.
- Excellent stakeholder, client and executive communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and prioritization abilities.
